GP Bézout
Introduction to the GP Bézout
The GP Bézout offers a training program to strengthen the interdisciplinary relationship between mathematical and computer sciences. It has taken over the training initiatives established by the Labex Bézout and is now building on the network of the Bézout research federation. It coordinates the Mathematics and Computer Science master's program, where all courses are taught by pairs of teacher-researchers, one in mathematics and the other in computer science. A majority of these modules are taught in English, with a strong international focus.
Training devices
The GP Bézout funds various devices:
- International master's scholarships worth €1,300 per month for 11 months
- Local "merit-based" master's scholarships for the most motivated students in mathematics and computer science programs
- Many courses in the M2 program entitled "Mathematics and Computer Science ", taught entirely in English, common to both Mathematics and Computer Science master's programs, and leading to the award of two master's degrees, one in mathematics and the other in computer science
- An optional M1 course entitled "Discrete Mathematics: Graphs and Probabilities " created in 2022-23 and offered to both M1 computer science and M1 mathematics students, to train and introduce them to interdisciplinary approaches
- A transversal module "Data Science and Learning for Non-Specialists " created in 2022-23 and coordinated with the GP DIGIS
- Master's-PhD days , where PhD students from the three laboratories in the Bézout perimeter present their research to other PhD students and master's students on internships in associated laboratories, in collaboration with the MSTIC doctoral school
